I was inspired to run for MapAction in this year's London Marathon. MapAction is a charity that works in disaster zones to help to coordinate and target relief effectively.  You only need to look at the problems in Haiti to see just how important their work is. It's not just giving money to a relief agency, it's making sure the relief gets to the right place. See http://www.mapaction.org/. MapAction volunteers on the ground supply GIS data which is used to create up to date maps showing where relief help is most urgently needed. Your donations will support their work in many ways and make sure that people are kept alive.

Getting miles in over the last month has been interesting, as you can see from the images. Getting lost on Kinder is one hazard I hadn't banked on. Maybe I need MapAction to track me!
