So, in a moment of wine-fuelled Chairman's bravado, I suggested to my fellow Colchester Round Table (Colne 842) members that we do something we've always wanted to do (for charity). A skydive was the resounding winner and I set the wheels in motion to make it happen. Now, a few short months later, it's a reality. Gulp!

On September 4th, myself and about a dozen other foolhardy (erm, brave) tablers will be heading down to Netheravon DZ for a day's training and then a solo static line jump...all for Headway Essex.

Headway Essex are such a worthy cause that does valuable work for brain damaged people, their families and carers in Colchester and the surrounding area. And, as it's their 25th anniversary, my aim for us to raise at least £25,000 for them in my year is even more poignant.

PS Someone asked me today how I felt about the jump. I can safely say that I've gone from bravado to 'twitching like a rabbit's nose' !
