Story
I'm part of a team of adults and boys from Horatio's school who will be taking part in this event under the banner "Just Dave" in Horatio Chapple's memory.
Horatio's Garden is an innovative rehabilitation garden at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre in Salisbury. The garden will create a place of tranquillity and beauty for patients with spinal cord injury and their families.
The garden is named in memory of Horatio Chapple who had planned to study medicine and was a volunteer at the Spinal Treatment Centre. Horatio helped with research that identified patients' needs for a garden.
Horatio's Garden will be ready for use in the summer. The second phase of the appeal will see the addition of a greenhouse to enable gardening to be used as a part of patients' rehabilitation therapy.
Horatio’s Garden Appeal is being led by the Southern Spinal Injuries Trust, a regional charity which supports the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre and people with spinal cord injury in the South and South West of England. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
