We rehome commercial laying hens to make a difference to hen welfare

Story

I am running the London marathon dressed in a full head to foot chicken costume. The Guiness World Record for 'fastest marathon in a full body animal costume' stands at 3 hours 31 minutes which I intend to break. The rules are tough, I have to wear the head mask at all times unless stationary. Lets hope for a cool day...

The British Hen Welfare Trust have now rehomed over 400,000 ex commercial laying hens. All animals deserve the right to live a life free of pain and misery. The charity campaigns for all eggs to come from a free range source and will continue to give ex colony (caged) hens a happy retirement in a new home.
