UPDATE from Chris - Tom and I travelled though a new level of pain yesterday and both completed the event. I managed to smash my target and completed the course in 5 hours 13 mins and 2 seconds. Tom did and awesome swim and a great bike ride and completed the course in 5 hours 39mins. Both these times are well above our expectations. --- Well done both ... an amazing performance and one you should both be proud of ... now please go and get some help !!!!!

Ben Milner passed away peacefully on Aug 2, 2010 aged 8 years after a long battle with Cancer. Ben was the son of one of our Project Managers working in the Corporate Portfolio of RWE IT UK. Last year Chris successfully completed 2 Triathlons and a Half Marathon in order to raise funds for the charity LATCH who supported Ben and his family through his illness.

To build on the success of last year Chris intends to compete in the Cotswold 113 Triathlon on 26th June 2011, and this time he has roped Tom Elliott in as well. This is a Half Iron Man event (113km or 70 miles) comprising a 1.9Km swim, a 90km bike ride (56miles) and 21Km run (13.1miles …Yes a half marathon!). Chris's target is to complete this in less than 6 hours and continue to raise money for LATCH in memory of Ben.

Tom is competing in his first Half Iron Man and is aiming to both finish in the top half of the field and assist Chris in his fund raising efforts for LATCH
