<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">One Week in June – Bikeathon</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">This programme will launch on the 20<sup>th</sup> June and run until 20<sup>th</sup> July.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As part of this launch some of the Leadership Team from Group Operations will be taking part in a Bikeathon from John O’Groats to Lands End (over 1000 miles), visiting four centres on the way.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The purpose of this is to make a real and positive impact on the communities in which we operate, promote healthy living, demonstrate a focus on the well-being of our people around the world and to encourage collaborative working in Group Operations.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">The Bikeathon will also give us an opportunity to raise money for charities and each of the Leadership team was asked to choose a charity and provide the reason for choosing that charity.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I have raised funds for CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland) previously and it seems appropriate that I do so again.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Additionally Janice, my PA, has a grandson Logan who benefits from this charity.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Logan was born with a rare life limiting condition 8 years ago and Janice has told me of the wonderful benefits to not only Logan but the extended family that one of the hospices, Rachel House in Kinross provides.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">I’m now well into my training for the Bikeathon and the fact that I will be raising money for such a good cause is spurring me on.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I hope you’ll be able to support me in supporting CHAS.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Please give as much as you can.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> And thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Page.</span></span></span></p>
