John O'Groats to the Scottish Border Cycle · 26 July 2010

To help and support heart and lung transplant patients of the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne both financially and by providing facilities for recreation to enable them to improve their condition. Also to educate the public of the need for organ donation.

Story

Ray, John and Colin are cycling from John O'Groats to the Scottish borders at Berwick to raise funds for the Freeman Heart and Lung Transplant Unit in Newcastle in memory of Colin and Ray's Grandad, the Late John Gault, who received a heart transplant in 1991 and passed away this year. The care given to him during these extra years he was gifted cannot be given a monetary value, but we would like to help other families experience this special gift of life.

The Transplant Unit provides life saving heart and lung transplants to patients in Scotland and the North of England.

Colin, Ray and John.
