Story
Since the end of October I have been training for the Ultra White Collar Boxing event which is being held at Eston Leisure Centre on the 16th of December. Basically i will of been training weeks, sometimes 2 3 or 4 times a week. I've be training with over 60 other males and females who are taking part in the same event.
Training is sometimes brutal and is very hard work, but a lot of fun at the same time. We get matched with an opponent a few days before the fight, so atm the I don't know who i am fighting.
UWCB has raised in excess of 10 million pounds for Cancer Research UK by holding events like this throughout the country. I've already been getting sponsors by the old fashioned sponsor form, all of which i will eventually put on this page, so thank you very much for the people who have already sponsored me.
I am taking part in the event in memoryof my Mother in Law Elaine, who sadly passed away 2 years ago through cancer. I've known many people old and young who have passed away through this horrible disease so they are also in my thoughts. i would imagine that nearly every family has been affected by Cancer. Like i said training is brutal and very hard but no pain no gain. Yes i've lost weight and also feel alot healthier but the gain is going to be raising money and to try and beat this horrible disease.
EVERY POUND OF SPONSOR MONEY WILL GO TO CANCER RESEARCH UK.
Every little helps so whether its a pound or an £100 it doesn't matter. Please when you donate leave a name so i can thank you personally. Don't forget to tick the gift aid box.
Many Thanks John
