Story

Two years ago I crossed the finish line of the London Marathon and vowed "never again" ... before being carted off in a wheelchair by the St John's Ambulance. Cut to 2012 and I am training again for the same race - but what's the reason for this sheer stupidity? It's simple: to raise money for a brilliant cause.

Almost three quarters of the world's population have no access to the most simple pain relief, leaving billions to face a daily battle in the toughest of life's circumstances. Bridge2Aid is working to address this problem by providing access to relief for the millions of people suffering in the developing world. Since 2002 Bridge2Aid has worked tirelessly in Tanzania to address this problem by providing access to relief for millions of people. Focussing on sustainability and empowering local people to improve their own lives over the long term, Bridge2Aid has trained over 160 local health workers. Bridge2Aid has also established a long term development programme with the disabled and people affected by leprosy at Bukumbi Care Centre (http://www.bridge2aid.org/b2a/bukaims.html).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please dig deep and donate now - and make all this running worth my while.

Thank you
