Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I'm sure many of you visiting this page couldn't imagine me tackling this gruelling path. However, following on from a successful Croxteth Park to Woolton ride ten years ago, this only seemed a natural progression.
I'm taking part in the London to Paris bike ride on 18th-22nd June 2015 with 19 other colleagues at Rathbones. This means cycling 500km in 4 days (a mere 80 miles a day) in order to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia.
Leukaemia can affect anyone at any age, and is the most common form of childhood cancer. Around 12,000 people die from blood cancers in Britain each year, with 30,000 being diagnosed. The prospect of survival for many adults with the disease is less than 50%. Cure Leukaemia has been fighting for 12 years now.
I've not done anything on this scale before so the ride is an exciting prospect. Having started training last week, the ride is also a prospect packed with trepidation.
Please donate whatever you can, however small, as it would be greatly appreciated and the money goes towards helping to save the lives of the many who have been diagnosed.
Thanks in advance!
John
