Despite creaking joints and rather less strength in the legs, I'm climbing back on my bike this June for my fourteenth FireFlies Tour.  We are going to cover more than 1,000 kilometres across the Alps in conditions that vary from icy cold winds and snow at the top of the cols to baking temperatures in the valleys. Over eight days we will climb more than three times the height of Mount Everest.

Why such madness??? because it's the best way I know to raise money for an incredibly important cause. Despite huge advances, blood cancer is still the third biggest cause of UK cancer deaths.  I will cover all travel, accommodation and rider costs, so every penny donated goes towards fighting this dreadful disease.
