John's Blog

On Monday 27th July I set off on my unaided UK to Poland cycling challenge, covering an overall distance of 1301.6 miles through France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Czech Republic and finally finishing in Krackow – Poland on Friday 7th August.  My journey lasted 11 days and 5hrs.  Only a few bad points one being that I forgot salt tablets which lead to a swollen left thigh muscle, after struggling through a couple of painful days the swelling went down and I was able to continue in some what more comfort after my salt intake and plenty of ice.

The day of interest surely would be my last day, covering a distance of 181 miles taking a time of 15 and half hours bringing me in at 23.58 .  If my monitor is anything to go by burning off a staggering 5,561.7 calories.

I just want to say a big thank you to all my sponsors for your kindness in this cause.  You can still continue to sponsor this charity through my website.
