Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For some unknown reason (!), I have accepted a challenge to run the London Marathon on 17th April 2011 to help raise much needed funds for Trinity Hospice who rely on voluntary contributions to continue with their marvellous work.
It was here that my darling wife Sally spent the last few days of her life before her cancer eventually took hold and she died on 15th February last year. I'm doing this in her memory and want to raise as much as I possibly can, to help the Hospice continue it's fantastic work to help other terminally ill patients in the last few days of their lives and their relatives afterwards.
And now to the task in hand!
While I have run the marathon before (in fact twice!), it was 28 years ago and I wasn't much fitter then! Now is no different and since Sally's death, I have put on more weight than I care to admit to, but this gives me not only the focus to try and get fit, but also to provide a lasting memory in Sally's name.
Anything you can give, no matter what, would be so very much appreciated.
