Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Three years ago my daughter was born 9 weeks prematurely in Whitehaven hospital. This had been triggered because my wife Michelle had a huge ovarian cycst present the size of a small dinner plate. My daughter and the cyst were competing for space in the end they both came out one night in two emergency operations.

Elizabeth had to be put on a ventilator to breathe she was very small 4lb 8oz. Once they had her stabilised we were told that she would have to be moved 85 miles across to the other side of the country to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Newcastle. This was alarming and worrying but she was transferred safely in the night. The RVI were fantastic both to Elizabeth and me. They stabilised Elizabeth and calmed me down. My wife was too ill to travel so I was on my own but the RVI special baby unit found me somewhere to sleep close to Elizabeth and over the next 4 days she grew stronger through their care and came off the ventilator until she was strong enough to be transferred back to West Cumbria.

The care the RVI team gave Elizabeth and so many other babies who were there was amazing, we can never thank them enough which is why I want to try and raise some money for them to continue their work.

So please support my ride and Tiny Lives and dig deep and donate now. Thank you.
