<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.</p> <p>A friend of ours has a little girl who has developed Type 1 diabetes (T1DM) at the age of nine. The disease can strike anyone and is not linked to poor diet, obesity or lack of exercise. Treatment remains quite burdensome for many people with continual blood sugar monitoring and frequent insulin injections. Any healthy child could begin to suffer from T1DM tomorrow so we need to find a cure. Compared to living with the disease, riding a bike 100 miles from Cardiff to Tenby is easy. Please give generously.</p>
