We are John Backhouse and Trev Dixon, two Yorkshire lads, and we are hoping to complete this years annual LDWA 100 mile walk.

The walk is called ''The Games 100'' and takes place in June, in the south east of England. We both know how hard this challenge is going to be as we completed a quallifying walk last year (''The Woldsman 50'' is a 50 miles in 24 hours challenge walk.)

Our chosen charity is the Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team. They provide an essential service to all of the residents in their operational area, not only the walkers, runners and bikers that take to the hills.

About the charity

We exist to help lost, injured or distressed persons in and around the North York Moors, Wolds and Coast. We also spends time in the local community educating people to be safe in the hills and what to do if something goes wrong. We are funded 100% from fundraising and voluntary contributions.
