On the 12th June I will be attempting the 3 peaks challenge. This consists of climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdonia in 24 hours. I will be doing this to raise money for Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team (TWSMRT).

TWSMRT are made up purely of volunteers, with each member fitting their rescue commitments around full-time jobs, making themselves available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Without our donations TWSMRT would struggle to respond to the 50 requests for help made each year, leaving lost, injured and exposed individuals unprotected from fatal consequences. At the present time TSWMRT only has 1 rescue vehicle at its disposal. With the money raised by myself and my fellow Durham University students we aim to raise enough funds to finance the purchase of a second rescue vehicle, allowing TWSMRT to meet their calls both at home and further afield.

So any donations no matter the size will be greatly appreciated.
