Who is John Lindsay

A true ‘Anglo-Icelandic VIKING’ born into a family of adventurers and love of the sea. Raced over twenty years and a mechanic by trade, John who was taught by his father has the knowledge, determination and ability to master his quest. In life there is always a reason why...

With a beautiful wife and two wonderful children life looks so perfect...  yet Six years ago John Lindsay (senior) was diagnosed with Myeloma (blood) cancer, John (junior) being so close to his dad has watched over the years, his fathers battle and constant fight for life! Never a moment passed when John senior fought to find a cure whether with modern or alternative medications, he even went to Thailand to see what ancient remedies were available. Two months ago Southampton Hospital specialists had run out of options and John (senior) is now battling ‘The waiting game’... even now knowing, he has not stopped the fight and searching the internet for alternative cures such as lemons, apricot seeds and wheat grass.

So the picture is set, you can see why John (junior) has undertaken his heroic challenge to conquer the seas yet purely it is to help others similar to his father to ‘Save a Life’. Building awareness for Myeloma and Testicular Cancer; he is hoping that this will receive media acknowledgement and gain funds for research and the cure that his father so desperately needs... ‘One Life Ten Nations’ is all about one person one boat and one aim! To beat the unbeatable to LIVE the one life we are given... assist us to help others.

John (junior) quotes “I finally would like to do this achievement whilst my father is alive and to raise as much needed money for two cancer charities Macmillan Cancer Support www.macmillan.org.uk and Everyman www.everyman-campaign.org
