Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page in memory of John Matthewman. The family very much appreciates all donations made in his memory.

John spent a few weeks at the end of his life at Arthur Rank Hospice, Cambridge, and eventually passed away in their care. Arthur Rank House provides specialist palliative care services to adults with life-limiting illnesses.

During his time with Arthur Rank, we could not have asked for better care for John. The staff at the hospice cared for him fantastically, and the informal atmosphere at the hospice made some potentially painful times so much more bearable. We also couldn't have asked for a more sensitive treatment of the whole family following his death.

The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity works in partnership with the NHS to support patients, their families, staff and volunteers at Arthur Rank House. Visitors are allowed to come and go as they please at any time, and beds can be found for those not wishing to be too far from their loved ones. Without the work of the charity, the extra things that make the difference to both patients and visitors couldn't be provided. And some of those things provided don't have to be big - it's incredible the difference a cup of tea and biscuits makes when just handed to you at a low time!
