Walk for ME 2019 · 20 May 2019

Invest in ME Research has, as its objective, to change how myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) is perceived, treated and researched. We do this by raising funding for biomedical research and improving education about the disease. We are currently facilittaing high-quality biomedical research in UK/Europe

Story

Hi folks!

Well it's the seventh year running for Walk for ME, and though it looked a little touch & go for a while I'm pleased to be able to take part again this year, joining others across the globe in raising funding and awareness into this disease. As per the previous walks, I'll be doing mine around the fields here in Kempshott.

I won't waffle on as those who have donated in the past are already aware of why raising funding for research into this neurological disease is so important to me, my family and many of my friends. As of 2019, Government funding for research into ME stands at less than 1%. Obvously, this falls somewhat short of what this illness and those suffering from it ideally deserve... (!) So please, if you can, donate to help fund ongoing research into ME. ANY amount would be so gratefully received.

Thank you :)

John
