Story
Well Folks here we go again,
Last year we managed to raise just short of £3,000 for Bone Cancer which was a real achievement by cycling from Wetherby to Filey which covered a distance of 75 miles.
The decication and hard work shown by all concerned was fantastic.
However this year we are setting our sites even higher. We have decided to cycle from Liverpool to Leeds (yes thats 127 miles) along the old tow paths and canal side.
We start on the 22nd July 2010 so wish us good luck!
More importantly.................
The charity we have decided to support is sense who probably not many people have heard of. sense supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind.
Deafblindess is a term that is used to describe a combination of vision and hearing impairments where some people are both completely deaf and blind. Living with this is extremely challenging, communication, moving around safely and living indepentently. Things we all take for granted.
PLEASE HELP US TO HELP OTHERS!!!!!
The training is going well and are now up to thirty miles as of 3rd July. The heat is really strength sapping though and you need to take on plenty of fluid and keep your small but often feeds going. (Can't have me fading away.)
Jack has managed to offiially get two days off school to take part which is a big boost for me and great news for him. We are going to try a forty miler this weekend so struggling to find a route.
Then the bikes will go in a for a welcome service after the weekend and the final plans will be made.
18 days to go and counting!!!!!!
Please chip in anything you can spare.
