On 26th March 2015 Kai's life and his family changed unexpectedly and completely. Kai was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). AML is a very aggressive and rare type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes a large number of abnormal blood cells. He has been diagnosed as "high risk" and has since undergone a bone marrow transplant (on 13th August 2015) from an incredible anonymous donor.
We would like to raise awareness for Luekaemia and Childhood Cancer research, spread awareness about the importance of donating blood and platelets and urge people of all ethnicities to register as a potential bone marrow donor.
