Jon cycles Aberporth to London with Thales for Prostate Cancer UK

Thales Route 47 Celtic Trail Cycle Event · 1 July 2016 to 3 July 2016 ·
It seemed like a good idea at the time... in just 3 days, cycle from Aberporth, West Wales (the home of Watchkeeper) to Weybridge nr London (the headquarters of Thales UK)! Of course I forgot about the Welsh terrain and weather, not to mention the competitive fellow team members from Thales who are joining me to this epic ride!
I'm not new to long distance events. I did a Leeds to London cycle ride in 2014, ran the London Marathon twice and completed a 3 peaks challenge.
For this challenge, I'm supporting Prostate Cancer UK. The money raised will go towards research, patient support and awareness. The cancer touches so many people these days and affects 10,000s every year. It is a cancer that can be stopped, with early diagnosis and further medical research. If only us men paid more attention to our health, prostate cancer could be significantly reduced.
All I ask is that you donate what you can, so that collectively we can raise a decent amount for the charity and their great work. In doing so, you also show your support for me in taking on the 240ml challenge. In return, I'll keep you updated on my training, the ride itself and how much we eventually raise.
At this moment, my training is going OK, but I don't think I've done enough (we all say that I guess). The Welsh hills are worrying me a little. However with teamwork, support and knowing you have given to charity for my endeavour, I will complete the challenge.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
