Story

Hi there! I'm planning to run 20 marathons, a 15 miler and a "Beerathon" during 2012 on behalf of Afasic, a charity for children with speech and language problems.

Please help me to reach my goal of £1,000. Anything you can spare, no matter how small, really is appreciated and will make a big difference to this thoroughly deserving cause.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page - and thanks too for all your help, support and most of all your donations. This will be such a lift to me when the going gets tough!

The marathons,15 miler & beerathon I'm entering are (in order): Times appear in brackets when available.

1) The 100 Club, Jan (3.59), 2) Marrakech, Jan (3.21), 3) Seville, Feb (3.15), 4) Treviso, Mar (3.17), 5) Sussex, Apr (3.52),  6) Northampton, Apr (3.44), 7) Brighton, Apr (3.21), 8) Madrid, Apr (3.29), 9) Manchester, Apr (3.35), 10) Orpington, May (3.42), 11) Copenhagen, May (3.38) (my 50th)!, 12) The South DownsJun (4.23), 13) Nordmarka Forest (Oslo), Jun (3.49) 14) Croydon, Jul (2.08) (15 miles), 15) Fairlands Challenge, Jul(4.29), 16) The Great British Beerathon, Aug (1.26), 17) The Thames Meander, Aug (3.45), 18) Kent Coastal, Sep (3.29) 19) Bacchus, Sep (3.54), 20BerlinSep (3.22) 21Verona, Oct (3.33), 22) CologneOct (3.15),  23) AbingdonOct (3.38), 24Alpes Maritime (Nice to Cannes), Nov (3.18), 25) LutonNov (3.32) 26) PisaDec (3.37) 27) Portsmouth Coastal, Dec (3.57)

With a little luck I will actually be running 25 marathons (or 25 marathons, a 15 miler and a "Beerathon"). However, I'm advertising the challenge as "20 marathons" to allow for injuries and my potential withdrawal from a couple..... though definitely NOT the beerathon which I am determined to complete at all costs.

I managed 20 in 2011 - so fingers crossed!
