Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you know, I ran the Las Vegas Marathon in December 2011 and, having completed it in a reasonable time of 3 hours 42 minutes and 58 seconds I was quite happy.

When I could walk again I flew back to the UK and the memory of the pain and effort it took to finish the course seemed to fade away.

A thought occured to me that, with very little extra effort I could complete the London Marathon.

I took December off to let my body recover and now I have started training again and all I can think is I must be mad.

I will be running to raise money for the national charity for sick children, WellChild.

WellChild helps sick children and their families throughout the UK to manage the consequences of serious illness and complex health conditions through our programme of care, support and research.

I know many of you generously supported me back in December and that was hugely appreciated. Please can you do what you can to help me raise money for this incredibly worthwhile cause.

If any of you want to come up to London on April 22nd to either support or heckle me then let me know and I will give you more details.

Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you so much.
