Story
I did Movember last year - it was a lot of fun and we raised some money for prostate cancer.
This year I wanted to change it a little, I wanted to do something for the Pancreatic Cancer charity in memory of Bill Fox. He died in September this year, after fighting Pancreatic Cancer for two years.
When I first started running just over 10 years ago I was living in Derby, UK. One of the first 'real runners' I knew was Stef's dad, Bill, I can remember being amazed by the fact that he went running every day, when running 4 miles three times a week felt like hardcore training to me. He inspired me in those early days, and now I run can't imagine life without running I feel like I can give something back.
The two things I can do are, grow a mustache and run. I'll be doing both in November, I'll post updates on the moustache progress and some pictures for the races I run.
As an added bonus I'm going to take this 'tash on a tour. On December the 6th there is a fell race in the UK to raise money for pancreatic cancer research in memory of Bill Fox - I can't be there so I'm going to run the 12 summits of Tiger Mountain, a mere 34 miles and 10K of vertical gain.
