Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I heard about the great work that shelterbox does and thought one day I would like to help their cause. The charity is based in Cornwall with affiliates across the world. Their solution is quite simple: They have a large box with things that help support people in times of disaster. A tent, blankets, basic tools, stove and cooking items.
My trip begins in La Paz, Bolivia before I take a short detour to Coroico down the most dangerous road in the world. If I survive this I will cycle across the world's largest salt lake, Salar de Uyuni, and the Bolivian Altiplano at >4000m. Entering Chile for a brief respite in San Pedro before I traverse the Andes once more towards Salta in Argentina. Now just over half way I will head south aiming for Mendoza and a well earned Argentinian glass of wine & Gaucho steak for Christmas lunch. Hopefully in time for new year I'll do a final crossing of the Andes to Santiago, Chile where I'll head back to the UK.
