Story
On the 20th of August 2011, I will be running the Helsinki Marathon - dedicating every step of every mile to my Uncle Phillip, who passed away last year. I am raising money for the only battle he couldn’t win: Cancer. I want to help those still fighting and those who support them so bravely.
There are no gimmicks, no silly costumes, no running backwards. It’s just me against 26 miles of tarmac. I promise to give it my all for the whole distance, never give-up or shy away from pain - just like my courageous, inspirational uncle did throughout his life.
It would be great to have as many of you as possible running with me in spirit. Please donate whatever you can, and I will do my very best to honour his memory, and that of the many others that we all have lost to cancer.
We will never forget you Uncle Phil.
