Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Smart Storage is supporting the North West Cancer Research Fund as their nominated charity. As part of our fund raising activities this year we have decided to undertake The Three Peaks Challenge.

As a team we will be climbing the highest peaks in England Scotland and Wales on the weekend of 7th November 2009 (We thought we would make it a little more tricky doing much of it in the dark and with that special autumn weather!!).

Our target is to raise £5000 from this event therefore all donations whether large or small are very welcome.

About North West Cancer Research Fund

Founded in 1948 as the Friends of the Liverpool Radium Institute, the charity is one of the oldest independent medical charities in the North West. Their aim is to provide grants to support fundamental research in the North West of England, North and Mid Wales into the causes of cancer. All of their funds are raised by voluntary means for vital research at the University of Liverpool, Lancaster University and Bangor University.

NWCRF have raised over £28 million for research to date and are very proud of the fact that, on average, over 90p of every £1 donated has been put into actual research. There are normally thirty projects under way at any one time with each receiving an average of £95,000 for a three year study.
