My story
I spend a lot of time online, and I'd like you to sponsor me to unhook
A stupid amount of my life at home and at work is spent in a self-constructed digital gulag - on the web, email, twitter, and other nonsense.
I'm going on holiday, and aside from occasional satnav use to get us there, am hoping to live without communications technology for as long as I can between midnight Sat 4th/Sun 5th June til midnight Sat 18th/Sun 19th June
This will mean no phone, no laptop, no quick checking in at cyber-caffs. Not even a red button on the telly.
Knowing you are sponsoring me will help me to stay clean.
The money's going the Samaritans in Leeds, who run a 24/7 service, whilst turning less than £50k a year. They get no money from Adult Social Care or the NHS.
If you want something for your money, instead I'll keep a journal of what I do/think/read/talk about with Sam, and which I'll share with you - if you want me to.
