Sheffield Half Marathon 2018 · 8 April 2018 ·
A few years ago my cousin, Lee, was diagnosed with motor neurone disease. Knowing Lee has given me first-hand experience of the crucial role of imaging equipment in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions like motor neurone disease.
The University of Sheffield is currently running a £2 million campaign to bring an MRI-PET scanning facility to Sheffield, the first of its kind in Yorkshire. I want to do my bit to help.
The most I've ever run before is 10K, but on 8 April I'm going to be taking part in the Run For All Sheffield Half Marathon as part of the University of Sheffield team raising funds for the campaign.
Building up to a half marathon is a big challenge for me, but it's worth it for a cause as good as this one. If you'd like to support me, please pledge a donation via the link below. Every last pound you offer really will help keep me going through the tough next few weeks of training.
