UPDATE
Jonathan, Adam and Joey duly completed their sky dive on Bank Holiday Monday May 31st. Many, many thanks to all who contributed to the fantastic sum we have raised for Headlines. We will be writing to thank you all in the near future.
My name is Jonathan Ellis. I am going sky diving to celebrate my 18th birthday with my friends Adam (18) and Joey Coyle (16) who are celebrating their birthdays too. As we are going to do the sky dive anyway, we thought it will be a good opportunity to raise funds for charity at the same time. The charity we have chosen is HEADLINES, which is a national charity supporting children with craniofacial conditions. My sister Sarah, who is 15, has had several major craniofacial skull reconstructions at the John Radcliffe Children's Hospital in Oxford, since she was born with fused sutures which meant her skull could not expand as her brain grew. Fortunately, the medical team at the Oxford Craniofacial Unit have successfully treated Sarah throughout her life and she is now fine and looking forward to celebrating her 16th birthday. HEADLINES is a wonderful charity and we would like to raise funds for them to provide much needed support for other children and their families in similar circumstances.
None of us have done anything like this before! Our sky dive is booked for Sunday 25th April 2010 at Swansea Airport ! Hopefully, the weather will be fine and we will land safely when we dive in tandem with a qualified instructor from 10,000 -15,000ft, while our families and friends watch from below!!! There will be a video taken of our sky dive and we will upload the photos on this page afterwards to prove that we have actually jumped!
We would be very grateful if you could make a donation to support HEADLINES. Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Jonathan Ellis, Adam and Joey Coyle
