Story

Thanks to all who took part in the concert: The Opera half: My wonderful wife Paula Sides - diva extraordinaire, with moving performances of O Mio Babbino Caro, Losing my Mind, and Summertime. Gavin Bailey, piano and vocals enchanting with Some enchanted evening and where e’re you walk. The Voice of Heptonstall: David Owen Lewis - a memorable performance of Largo al Factotum from the Barber of Seville. The viiolin pyrotechnical virtuosity of Steve Shulman playing Monti Cxardas.
Thanks to Will Kaufman. We were privileged to hear the world premiere of your Flood Blues composed on the train, and the delightfully loopy Flopeared Mule
The band Queen and Country, (Sam and Hannah Hird - first couple of English Folk music, teaspoon and Matt) stepping in at the last minute, rounded the concert off perfectly with their unique versions of Springsteen, Beach Boys and Kinks.
Thanks to David, who sportingly got shaved by the Demon Barber of Seville.
Thanks to Amy, Rachel and all at the Town Hall who were so generous and helpful.
Thanks to all the audience who came to the concert and all who kindly donated online.

Hebden Bridge is a unique community filled with artists, musicians, and amazing people that we have gotten to know in the past year of living in the town centre.  Sadly we have watched our town flood twice in under a month, and we want to help our friends and neighbours.

As musicians, what better way than to put on a "Flash Concert" at short notice to help our town get back on its feet?  We are putting on a concert of opera, blues, and folk music; different styles of music to bring people together!  A funky mix for a funky town!!  The concert will feature Will Kaufman on folk blues guitar and vocals, the opera singers Paula Sides, David Owen-Lewis and Gavin Bailey, pianist Jonathan Gale and New Acoustic Musicians Sam and Hannah Hird.

The concert will take place at Hebden Bridge's new Town Hall St Georges Street, HX7 8BY on Thursday 19th July at 7:30.  Admission is by donation, please donate here and print off the confirmation which will serve as a ticket.  Suggested donation of £20.  If you can't attend we would be happy to accept your money for a very good cause.  Thank you in advance for your generosity!
