Brighton Half Marathon 2011 · 20 February 2011 ·

ME Research UK exists solely to fund high quality biomedical studies into the causes and treatment of ME/CFS. This illness affects over 400,000 people in the UK but is neither well understood nor, in many cases, properly recognised. We fund highly regarded, peer-reviewed research worldwide.

Story

STOP PRESS!

Rather than the Brighton 1/2 in 2011, I'm running the Hastings 1/2 on 25th March 2012. The change of event was due to a knee injury.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page! Donations made here are simple, fast, totally secure... and greatly appreciated!

My commitment is twofold: I'll run a half marathon to raise money for ME Research and I'll match the highest donation made! (small print - up to £100 max!)

Please be sure to Gift Aid your donation (if you pay UK tax) so that George Osborne also contributes to this worthwhile cause.

ME or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a debilitating illness which affects up to 240,000 people in the UK, but which is not well understood. There are probably many more sufferers who haven't waited for diagnosis. ME Research UK invests all monies raised straight into research. They raise around £200,000 every year, compared to Cancer Research who raise £483 million per year. Every pound that we can raise is therefore vital for this essential research.

Remember to click the Facebook "Like" button!!

Thank you
