Last 6 miles unbearable but the thought of all your donations got me through. Thanks everybody for your amazing generosity.</p> <p>Shobhna, my soon to be mother-in-law, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's less than two years ago, and unfortunately the severity of her illness has increased rapidly in this time, putting a great strain on all those around her particularly her family. Fortunately that strain was alleviated as she was able to attend the Beckenham day centre three times a week under the brilliant supervision of the Bromley Mind team.</p> <p>It's not overdoing it by saying that the staff at Beckenham are quite simply the greatest I know and provided the deep care, tenderness and attention that Shobhna enjoyed so much.
