Hey Everyone!  As most of you will know by now I'm planning on running a marathon on the 8th November... the French Riviera Marathon, from Nice to Cannes.

I'm raising money for a small charity thats very close to my heart and which I've been personally involved with for a few years now.  The project’s primary work focuses on improving the lives and prospects of children through education.  More recently support has been extended to include assistance for local farming, the elderly, disabled, women's groups and healthcare.

The charity has set up two schools, which are at the centre of all the fantastic work.  The first in the village of Mettupalayam, and then a second - Nambikki, which was established after the Asian Tsunami disaster of 2004.  I visited the project, in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu where I was astonished and deeply touched to see the huge contribution and difference the charity makes to the lives of the villagers.

What really appeals to me is the fact that you know exactly where the money is going, whether that's towards a new water tank, on pencils & exercise books, school uniforms or even a new cow!

I'd really appreciate it if you could contribute, whatever the amount... It means so much to me  :-)
