<p>Well folks, <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">THIS IS IT!! </span></strong></span></p>
<p>The biggest sporting target I have, or probably ever will set myself, so what better charity to raise money for than <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>The Christie</strong></span></span>.............the hospital that saved my mother's life!!</p>
<p>She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 and put through numerous tests and scans, had life-saving surgery in March 2009, one month later had yet another operation (an axillary node clearance) and underwent cycles of chemotherapy (started in June 2009) and radiotherapy (started in February 2010) all under the expert care of the people at <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>The Christie</strong></span></span>.</p>
<p>It was in mid 2010 that she was told that she was in remission, it was then that she, along with all her family and friends could breathe a collective sigh of relief!!</p>
<p>So this is my way of paying back the people that kept my mum alive, allowing her to witness her son get married, be a proud grandmother and continue to live and love!!</p>
