<p>It's my birthday on the 3rd July and the Happy Birthday Campaign is a way of celebrating my birthday by doing something to provide Happy Birthdays for new babies and their families in Haiti.</p> <p>75% of births take place without a trained medic and more babies and mothers die in Haiti during birth than any other country in the western hemisphere. That's what this is about.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Haiti Hospital Appeal is opening a specialist Maternity unit this autumn providing a safer environment for mothers to give birth, we are also increasing education and the scope for community maternal healthcare, family planning and sexual health.</p> <p>Our emergency Cholera work reached over 360,000 people and we are seeking to deliver maternal healthcare to such numbers.</p> <p>This is the better way to celebrate a birthday - I'm sure of it.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Thank you!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
