Story
On the 17th May this year I will be walking (and hopefully running a bit) up and down Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Although my dad was diagnosed a few years ago and was fortunate enough to make a full recovery, I have a very dear and close friend whose dad wasn't as lucky and I know how painful the months running up to his passing were for him and his brother. With this in mind I am pleased to have the opportunity to raise some cash for Mcmillan who support other family's who have also been affected In such a way.
The total distance is 25 miles in one day and now that I'm on the wrong side of 30, it will no doubt be quite challenging!
I must raise a minimum of £250 to take part, but I am, of course, hoping to exceed that by as much as possible.I'm really excited about being able to challenge myself whilst collecting for a great cause and for this reason I would appreciate any donations my friends and family would like to make.
