I will be joining Leeds Rhinos star Rob Burrow and Ronnie the Rhino walking across fire next month all in the name of two local charities.

All funds raised will be donated to Leeds Mencap and Leeds Rugby Foundation. Leeds Mencap runs a range of services working with over 250 families every week including the Hawthorn Family Support Centre, Youth Clubs, an 18-30’s social group, the Gateway and Parent Support Project. Through the power of sport the Leeds Rugby Foundation provides practical and educational opportunities that aim to motivate and inspire individuals.

The firewalk is renowned for being a memorable and invigorating experience. All participants will receive a two hour motivational training session prior to the walk where Rhinos players and fans will cheer you on. A special certificate presentation will be held following the walk with Rhinos players.

The two Rhinos favourites are searching for individuals who are looking to face the heat head on to join them. Don’t miss out on your chance to do something out of the ordinary and for a good cause.  To register your interest and for further information contact Amy Herisson at amy.herisson@leedsrugby.com or 0113 2033 285. In order to participate you must be over 16 years and raise £100 in sponsorship.

Ronnie’s Christmas Firewalk takes place will take place on a night of Festive entertainment at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Monday 19December. Rhinos fans are invited to cheer on Rob, Ronnie and the other brave volunteers. Entertainment will commence at 6.30pm that includes carol singers, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and a bouncy castle for the kids, the lighting of the fire will take place at 7.30pm and the firewalk at 8pm.
