My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have decided to run the London Marathon with 9 Diageo Colleagues to raise money for Family Action. In total all 10 of us hope to raise £30,000!!! We have chosen to run for Family Action as it has been a leading provider of services to disadvantaged and socially isolated families since its foundation in 1869. They work with over 45,000 children and families a year by providing practical, emotional and financial support through over 100 services based in communities across England. A further 150,000 people benefit from our educational grants and information service. The £1,500 I hope to raise will be matched by the Diageo Foundation, meaning that I and each of our Diageo runners will be raising £3,000. £3,000 is enough to deliver our Safer Children project in 3 schools; Safer Children provides workshops and support to 9-11 year olds at risk of gang crime. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
