Story
Jordan is going to Jordan!
On March 22rd I will be participating in a 4-day long trek across the mesmerising landscape of Jordan. Accompanied by Bedouin guides we will travel 50km along the infamous Jordan Trail, starting off from the Dead Sea trekking through the historic mountainous landscape of Feynan all whilst camping underneath the stars, before finally finishing the trek at the lost city of Petra.
Alongside the likes of David Seaman & Per Mertesacker, myself and 100 other Arsenal supporters are aiming to raise as much money as possible for The Arsenal Foundation's ground-breaking Coaching for Life programme.
The Arsenal Foundation is a grant-making charity of the Arsenal Football Club, which focuses on work to motivate and inspire young people - often through education and sport - to help them reach their potential and be the best they can. In partnership with Save the Children, they have co-developed the Coaching for Life programme which utilises football to improve the mental well-being of children affected by conflict and violence.
The Arsenal Foundation is currently working with children in Indonesia living in dense urban slum communities where many are at risk of extreme hunger, exploitation and child marriage.
In Jordan, they are working with Syrian children in the Za’atari Refugee Camp who have seen their lives torn apart by conflict. The money raised will help support and protect children in some of the world's toughest places by building their courage and inner strength through football.
So please be generous, dig deep and support me whilst we raise money as much as possible for this great cause. The following donation amounts can make a real difference:
£5 - Help to provide a nutritious meal and snack for a Syrian refugee child, giving them the energy to take part in football tournaments.
£10 - Will enable a child living in a slum in Indonesia or Refugee Camp in Jordan to participate in the Coaching for Life programme, helping them to build their courage and inner strength.
£20 - Can go towards helping The Arsenal Foundation train local community members in Indonesia to help stop violence against children. Just £40 could train one person and keep children safe.
