Hello. 

Those who know me well, and even those who don't know me as well will be massively surprised to learn that I have signed myself up for the London Marathon in 2010....

As well as the personal challenge of running the 26.2 miles a big part of me deciding to take the plunge is down to my colleague Chris who volunteers with the Putney Samaritans. Chris is one of the 100+ helpline volunteers at Putney who take calls from people in distress, despair or who are feeling that they can't continue and I am aiming to raise £2k personally and £10k as part of Team NT.

So far this has been a huge challenge, at the begining of August 09 I couldn't even run for 5 mins, never mind 5 hours... but the training is going well (slow and steady is my motto). This has already taken over my life for five months and is going to be an incredible challenge. I'll need all your help, financial and emotional so I am asking you to dig deep and support a fantastic cause.
