I'll be setting off on 24th June 2011 to sail with a crew of 12 from Oban to Waterford via the Fastnet Lighthouse,on board Alba Endeavour, a Challenge 72' ocean going racing yacht. When we arrive we disembark so a crew of young people from all over Scotland take up the berths on board in order to participate in the Tall Ships Race 2011 which will complete its first leg, racing from Waterford to Greenock on 9th July. I intend to meet my personal costs in relation to this challenge but hope friends, family and anyone else interested in contributing to this worthwhile charity can pause here long enough to make a donation, however small - or large!
