We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

1 person every 3.2 minutes is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and by 2021 there will be over 1 million people in the UK living with dementia.

On 14th June I'll be running the Yorkshire Three Peaks (or at least trying to) in support of Alzheimer's Research.

In one day I will summit mountains Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m), a total running distance of 24.5 miles and over 5000ft of climbing!

I am doing this challenge as part of a team of 150 consultants, managers and directors from Michael Page International and together we hope to raise a minimum of £40,000 for the charity.

Alzheimer's Research support the most pioneering and innovative research that offers the best hope of defeating dementia. 97% of their funding is provided by donations, and here's a few examples of how the money I raise will help....

- £10 funds 30 minutes of research

- £50 provides access to specialist equipment for studying cells

- £100 provides dye for tissue staining of brain samples

All donations small or large will greatly appreciated and will contribute to the great work this organisation carries out.

Thank you for looking at my page, wish me luck!
