Motor Neurone Disease is a debilitating, fatal condition that affects the brain and spinal cord and can leave sufferers locked in a failing body. This rare but devastating condition has affected two members of our Investec family in recent years; Trevor Gatfield, who sadly died from MND in 2017, and Charles Malcolm, who has been fighting the disease for several years.

I cannot possibly imagine how difficult it must be for anyone suffering from MND or for their families supporting them. For that reason I am running the London marathon to raise money to make a real difference to the lives and futures of those affected by this terrible condition. By raising money we will be able to provide support for sufferers and fund research to ‘crack’ the genetic code behind the disease.

So far the training is going to plan with not too many aches and pains, however I would be extremely grateful for any donations however small. Thanks very much for your support, I really appreciate it.
