Story
In November 2003 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. To be honest my initial reaction was that I would not be around to see my children grow up, who were then aged 3 & 2, let alone think about my 40th Birthday! But thanks to modern medicine and the support of my friends and family, especially my husband Dave, I /we survived the chemo and the hair loss and here I am alive and kicking
When I was first diagnosed I didn’t really know what it was, and this is where Ward 7 comes in. They explained everything to us, from all the tests I would have, treatments available and the aftercare in terms that we understood. Ward 7 and sally (my nurse) became part of our family and nothing was too much for them.
So this is my chance to give a little something back and hopefully make someone else's life a little more comfortable while they are on Ward 7.
Cheers
