Medical Detection Dogs trains dogs to detect the odour of disease. Our research includes cancer, Parkinson's and other diseases and could save millions of lives by improving diagnostics. We already help people manage complex, life-threatening medical conditions by training Medical Alert Dogs.

My son Josh, was tragically killed with his grandfather, my dad, in a road traffic accident last year. Some of Josh’s friends from SaffronWaldenCountyHigh School have sponsored a puppy through the Medical Detection Dogs and called him Josh.  They are trying to raise £10,000 to train the puppy and so your donation will be gratefully accepted by them.

The funds will help the Medical Detection Dogs to train the puppy who will then be given to a child with a life threatening illness/disease as these dogs amongst other things are trained to detect the onset of an attack or fit.  For example, they can be trained to detect the sensitive changes in blood sugar level and can warn their owners, get help and fetch any vital medical supplies when their owners sugar levels fall.

If you would like to make a donation then please either visit the link www.justgiving.com/Josh-Bysouth or alternatively send a cheque made payable to “Medical Detection Dogs” c/o of Tracy Bysouth, Adams Harrison, 14-16 Church Street, Saffron Walden, Essex CB10 1JW together with the attached “Gift Aid” form duly completed.
