The Duchenne Dash · 6 June 2014 to 7 June 2014 ·

As the leading Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) charity in the UK, we want to find effective treatments for DMD and end its devastating impact. We’re going further than anyone has before, and we’re doing it faster, because this generation of people living with DMD can’t wait.

Story

Eli, my godson and the son of great friends of mine, Nick and Emily Crossley, suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  I am cycling from London to Paris to help raise money to find a cure.  This is one of those areas of medical science where great strides are being made, so the aim of the Duchenne Children's Trust – to end Duchenne in 10 years – depends on money raised to fund research.

Duchenne is the biggest genetic killer of children, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a muscle wasting disease that leads to paralysis and death in all cases.

Please watch the video here to find out more http://duchennedash.com/

The Duchenne Dash is a gruelling 24-hour bike ride from London to Paris.  I’ll be riding alongside (or possibly in the wake of) newsreaders and executives from Channel 4, ITN, ITV and Sky News plus a sprinkling of friends and other supporters.

We need your support. Follow our journey, enjoy our pain, but please donate and help us make it worthwhile.
