<p>In 2005, GVI Phoenix started working in a small school in San Rafael, Honduras, in the mountains surrounding Cop&aacute;n. Recently, they have expanded into Barbasco aswell, providing extra teachers, food and fruit for the children, who share classrooms and teachers across all grades. In 2008, GVI started another secondary school in San Rafael, paying for teachers to give secondary education, which was impossible before.
